Positionnement surprenant ? Provocation d’ancien syndicaliste ? Réaction épidermique au monde qui m’entoure ? Rien de tout cela… Je pense donc je ne vote pas !
Bon ou mauvais candidat ? Bonne ou mauvaise campagne ?
Ne pas voter quand aucun candidat ne vous a convaincu serait des plus naturels.
Ne pas voter si vous avez détesté la campagne… pourquoi pas et encore, je déteste l’autre campagne, les présidentielles de la République, et je voterai.
Non. Dans tous ces cas, nous sommes chanceux à Poitiers, nous avons eu le rare bénéfice d’une belle campagne contradictoire. Chacun des candidats à la présidentielle s’est révélé tôt, plusieurs mois avant le vote et a joué le jeu de la consultation, des meetings et de la construction d’un programme… jusqu’au débat, 4h20 de direct et 1500 personnes !
Je ne suis pas 8 fois moins intelligent ou plus bête qu’un professeur !
Mon choix, mon abstention, mon refus de vote n’a donc rien à voir avec des conditions locales d’élections que j’ai largement participé à rendre transparentes, connues, intéressantes et même incitatives et dont la qualité a été reconnue par tous les acteurs locaux.
Mon choix est une opposition ferme à un système culturellement ancré mais complètement dépassé aujourd’hui : le vote par collège. J’ai fait mes petits calculs fondés sur les listes électorales de l’Université de Poitiers. Au CA (conseil d’administration), les professeurs élisent 7 représentants, tout comme les maîtres de conférences pourtant beaucoup plus nombreux, contre 3 pour les Biatss (personnels administratifs…). Les calculs sont sans appel, proportionnellement, il faut 2,8 fois plus de biatss que de maîtres de conférences pour un représentant au CA, ce chiffre monte à 8,4 biatss pour un professeur.
Culture oligarchique ou mépris ?
Oui, des professeurs maltraitent des maîtres de conférences.
Oui, des enseignants maltraitent des personnels dits administratifs.
Oui, des titulaires maltraitent des contractuels.
Oui, du mépris subsiste un peu partout… mais non, je n’en ferai pas une généralité, tant j’ai de plaisir à travailler dans une dynamique commune avec de nombreux collègues de toute catégorie… ouf.
Cependant, ce système gradué de collèges n’est pas une démocratie.
Je ne la comparerai pas à de la ségrégation ou à l’apartheid quoique certaines pratiques interrogent.
Je me permets une comparaison contestable (ou audacieuse selon les points de vue). Le système de castes ou plutôt de statuts différenciés me rappelle la République romaine. Les professeurs seraient les sénateurs, les maîtres de conférences les chevaliers et les biatss la plèble (et les étudiants des catégories de sous-citoyens, comme les auxiliaires de l’alliance italique). Ça s’appelait République et la liste des sénateurs et des consuls montraient, au contraire, que l’oligarchie de quelques familles régnait.
Une réforme culturellement impossible aujourd’hui : un collège unique
Vous direz que je m’écarte du sujet en évoquant Rome, que je provoque en détournant une célèbre photo de la ségrégation américaine et vous avez peut-être raison. Pour devenir concret, je m’oblige à une proposition révolutionnaire inimaginable aujourd’hui. Si je ne suis plus intelligent ou plus bête qu’un autre collègue, alors il ne devrait y avoir qu’un seul & unique collège pour l’ensemble du personnel… oui, je ne voterai pour des élections universitaires que le jour où ce séisme aura eu lieu.
